In the very first month of the first year of his reign, Hezekiah reopened the doors of the Temple of the LORD and repaired them.
They began the work in early spring, on the first day of the new year, and in eight days they had reached the entry room of the LORD’s Temple. Then they purified the Temple of the LORD itself, which took another eight days. So the entire task was completed in sixteen days.
So the Temple of the LORD was restored to service. And Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced because of what God had done for the people, for everything had been accomplished so quickly.
We’ve seen God work in and around our local community and want our church building to continue as a place of ministry for the next 175 years. We’ve launched a capital campaign to address critical structural needs to better serve our mission in reaching up in worship to the Lord, reaching in to bring growth and wholeness to our members, and reaching out with the gospel of Jesus Christ to meet the needs of our community.
“O LORD our God, even this material we have gathered to build a Temple to honor your holy name comes from you! It all belongs to you! I know, my God, that you examine our hearts and rejoice when you find integrity there. You know I have done all this with good motives, and I have watched your people offer their gifts willingly and joyously. I Chronicles 29:13-17
O Lord our God, all this abundance that we have provided for building you a house for your holy name comes from your hand and is all your own.
I Chronicles 29:16
