The Church of the Holy Apostles is a community of faith in the Anglican tradition, reaching up in worship to the Lord, reaching in to bring growth and wholeness to our members, and reaching out with the gospel of Jesus Christ to meet the needs of our community.
Our parish mission also aligns with the priorities and initiatives of the greater church. Archbishop Beach has identified five ministry priorities for the Anglican Church in North America during his tenure. Rooted in Scripture and Christ’s ministry, the following initiatives include, Serving the Marginalized, Fostering Diversity, Partnering Globally, Planting Churches, and Developing Leaders.
Suzy's vision of mission is based on how she understands the Kingdom of God in lived community with a priority of loving and serving the least of these. God is Sovereign. All of creation is sacred. Every human being is beloved of God.
Each Sunday we pray for Suzy in The Prayers of the People. Suzy’s work has spawned a church, housing, schools, and an orphanage. She is an ordained Anglican priest and recently earned her Doctorate. Her sister Ellen, is a faithful member of Holy Apostles. We love you Suzy & Ellen!
Serving Christ in a secure location, some of our members of the Anglican Diocese of South Carolina are in global mission. As they witness being surrounded by people in dire need; refugees from around the world, new believers who face many barriers leaving the religion they were born into, and deteriorating local economies, it's an intense mix of helplessness and awareness of our own abundance. Please pray for our eyes collectively, together as one in Christ as a church, to constantly turn to Him, and not on our own understanding. To learn more, contact us at Holy Apostles.
Johannes Vanderbijl is an ordained Anglican priest and SAMS Missionary serving along with his wife, Louise, in the Netherlands, at Christ Church, Heiloo. He has been earnestly writing over the last four years about the life of Simon Peter and Peter’s ministry of making disciples using Jesus’ method of discipleship.
Each Sunday we pray for Johannes in the The Prayers of the People. One of Holy Apostles priests, Father Jim Andy, baptized Johannes as a child in South Africa. It's always a beautifully small world! We love you Johannes & Louise!
How is God calling you to use your gifts in art, design, photography, textiles, woodworking, metalworking, pottery, floral design, culinary art, interior design, sculpture, digital design or music? Your gifts are appreciated and needed! Soli Deo gloria!
"Kind words are like honey—sweet to the soul and healthy for the body." Proverbs 16:24 Greeting cards are a personal expression, a tool for communication, and a means for building and strengthening relationships. Greetings in Christian love are something more; they're a ministry!

SAMS | Society of Anglican Missionaries and Senders
SAMS missionaries are serving throughout the world in Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, and the Pacific. They are doing faithful ministry in these challenging days with tenacity, flexibility, and dependence on the Lord.
Like all missionaries, SAMS personnel in the field face burdens and affliction. Yet, through it all, they share the message of life and salvation in Jesus, engaging in spiritual warfare against individual and structural sin. Senders play a key role in sharing the burdens of our missionaries as they come before our Lord Jesus Christ in prayer and confession.
The SAMS 6-month Prayer Calendar is designed so that you can pray for all of our missionaries by name each week of the year. Check out 'our' Suzy in Honduras featured in March and Johannes & Louise in July. A PDF is available for you to print out at home,
O Lord our God, all this abundance that we have provided for building you a house for your holy name comes from your hand and is all your own.
