The king and Jehoiada gave the money to the construction supervisors, who hired masons and carpenters to restore the Temple of the LORD. They also hired metalworkers, who made articles of iron and bronze for the LORD’s Temple. The men in charge of the renovation worked hard and made steady progress. They restored the Temple of God according to its original design and strengthened it.
When all the repairs were finished, they brought the remaining money to the king and Jehoiada. It was used to make various articles for the Temple of the LORD—articles for worship services and for burnt offerings, including ladles and other articles made of gold and silver. And the burnt offerings were sacrificed continually in the Temple of the LORD during the lifetime of Jehoiada the priest.
Jehoiada lived to a very old age, finally dying at 130. He was buried among the kings in the City of David, because he had done so much good in Israel for God and his Temple.

We’ve seen God work in and around our local community and want our church building to continue as a place of ministry for the next 175 years. We’ve launched a capital campaign to address critical structural needs to better serve our mission in reaching up in worship to the Lord, reaching in to bring growth and wholeness to our members, and reaching out with the gospel of Jesus Christ to meet the needs of our community.
GROW, the Restoration Project, is about prayerfully engaging in restoration within our church in both a financial commitment and in missions and outreach, where by using your God-designed gifts to love and serve Him, we glorify His name by loving and serving others in the way He loves us. How are you being led today?
What areas would you like to be more involved and active? You can include this in the online Pledge Card.
"Now you should finish what you started. Let the eagerness you showed in the beginning be matched now by your giving."
- 2 Corinthians 8:11-15
How is the Lord leading you to support a sincere need to fund repairs to our aging sanctuary? You do not need to make any donations at this time, this is strictly a prayerful, committed pledge in the amount you can support; from $10 a month for the next three years ($360) to a multiplication in joyful gratitude. Thank you for leading in this work!

2 Chronicles 2:7-14 (NLT)
Having a place to worship as a congregation for Holy Apostles is over a century-old with a history that began with its founding in 1848. Construction of the sanctuary was completed in 1857. The church survived the fires of the Civil War and has lived on through a myriad of storms. Now in desperate need of repair, artist Porter Claytor has been inspired to create a special commemorative coin.
The coin face includes the Jerusalem Cross where the large cross in the center represents the authority of Christ commissioning us all to share the Gospel story with all. The four smaller crosses represent the Gospel reaching to the four corners of the earth. References to faith, hope and love abide, are included from 1 Corinthians 13:13 'where the greatest of these is love."
A symbol for Christo, or "to Christ", a Greek Chi Rho has been designed into the other face of the coin. Also on this face are the Greek letters, Alpha and Omega, referencing the Lord's sovereignty, "And he also said, “It is finished! I am the Alpha and the Omega—the Beginning and the End. To all who are thirsty I will give freely from the springs of the water of life." Revelation 21:6
The coin also includes Christ's last words on the Cross, tetelestai, "It is Finished", as referenced in John 19:30. In this same time in history, "tetelestai" was used on business documents or receipts to indicate a bill had been paid in full. To John’s Greek-speaking readership, "tetelestai" would have been unmistakably clear; Jesus had died to pay for their sins.
